This was a very bright spot to the day. We were very pleasantly surprised to see such a great menu. After showing proof of vaccination we checked out the menu and ordered our lunch. What we could see and smell was great. Our sandwich, wrap, soup and onion rings came out very quick. The "French onion" soup was good. It wasn't what I would expect for a traditional French onion. More of a beef onion. Very thick beef flavor. No bread/ croutons or cheese. It was still good. The club sandwich and wrap were great. The sandwich was delicious. Onion rings were basic rings. Nothing special but still good. Grabbed a butter tart to go and was blown away. The pastry was flakie and buttery. The filling was also delicious. This was a great little spot. Also very surprised to see not only 2 Ivy charging stations on the south side of the parking lot, but 6 Tesla stations on the north side. Great spot and friendly staff.

As far as road side places to stop in the middle of nowhere this place is a 5/5. Really nice ppl, good selection, solid food including healthy options, also a well stocked convenience store. I got a breakfast wrap, a cherry pie, plate of fruit and plate of vegetables. All great. Pie was made the day before and the crust was excellent. Wrap contained plenty of sausage and potatoes making it a great meal before starting a long day of driving. Would definitely choose to stop here again over any other place I’ve stopped at during a trans-Canada road trip.

This isn’t a restaurant as the name states. Maybe it used to be, but now it’s more of a cafeteria style help yourself space. There are tables to sit and eat but all the food options are found in coolers. There’s burgers, nuggets and fries that are in a heater. Theres condiments to the side if you need. The other cooler is wraps, sandwiches and desserts, cheese sticks, meat sticks and some yogurts.

We came here hoping to get something quick but made for us to order. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that we were told.

My partner grabbed a cheese burger, which he didn’t mind. I had a yogurt which was essentially yogurt from the store repackaged. It tasted as expected. Then I grabbed an egg salad sandwich which didn’t turn out as expected. Unfortunately it tastes as though their preferred mayo substitute is krafts miracle whip and isn’t something that I enjoy at all.

The quality of the food looks freshly made though and id recommend it over regular gas station sandwich options.

Service was fairly friendly, they answered our questions though they were quite busy as well.

You pay for your items at the gas station counter.

This is a place that has ample parking for campers...

I have eaten take out food from here in the past, my daughter's have raved about the pies, and when I'm driving across Canada, a hobby of mine, they generally make me stop and buy one. This morning I was here early and went for breakfast. There are only two tables, it's the backside of a gas station, the waitress has a wonderful surly/frank diner style approach , no fake gentility disguised here, the breakfast was just about as good as you can get. Large eggs, cooked perfectly in a little butter, lots of delicious bacon, also perfectly cooked, pan fried potatoes, also amazing, not dried out, not undercooked. I regretted instantly not taking a photo before I polished off my perfect breakfast. People under rate how hard it is to produce this simple meal. If you are driving through Upsala, stop here, buy a pie , eat breakfast, or really , I would be surprised if everything else isn't made with the same care...
