Classic fresh cut fries experience you really need to make the drive for. I was also very surprised at how good the burgers are as well. Nice and lean, juicy patties, fresh toppings, soft and chewy buns. I had the chipotle sauce, and it's more of a savoury taste with a zang, not a chipotle mayo, but it is incredibly flavourful and compliments the bacon way better.

My wife had the fish and chips. She got the halibut and along with the already perfect fries, it's worth coming here for the fish and chips alone. Really great tartar sauce to pair with. There was the exact right amount of batter to give you that perfect ratio of coating to fish. And the fish came apart very easily, so you got a nice mix of textures with every bite, but the shell was just hard enough to keep everything together.

There's a good amount of space of outdoor seating. The benches were also unnecessarily nice, they were a plastic composite that looked and had the feel of wood, and relatively new. And they had smaller benches for children as well. But they brought your food to your car as well.

It backs onto a small pond that is kept tidy. A portapotty and a dedicated handwashing station are available, with bins and recycling. Every table had had sanitizers, were cleaned regularly, and all the staff were friendly and wore masks. They also had a barrier setup at the ordering window. Just a an all-star show all around.

Only an hour out from Toronto or Durham on a nice scenic drive. There's a little gas bar that serves Indian food at weeknights, would be interesting go check...

Roosters was an amazing experience. They have lovely gardens and flowers that are always kept in prime condition. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. You have your pick of picnic tables that are spread out in a big open area with trees for shade. They even have smaller picnic tables for little kids. You don’t wait for your food where you order you can go sit and they will bring your food to you, which is a very short wait. The food is fresh and sooo delicious. They give you lots of extra salt, pepper and ketchup packets incase you run out. Everything is kept so clean, including the portapotty. There is a bunny behind the little food hut that is really lovely for children. I highly recommend roosters for a quick stop or a nice eat out. It is great for families or just yourself. They are a fantastic little place...

The poutines were okay, fries were undercooked... but $30.00 for just a classic medium poutine and a medium Buffalo chicken poutine, without any drinks or sides or extras or tip is just ridiculous. Someone had recommended them to us so we stopped on our way home last weekend, but unfortunately with how expensive they are it isn't somewhere we would stop again. If you aren't worried about how much you're spending the food was decent, but for that price at a chip truck I'd expect much better food quality and much larger portions. Also, the shredded cheese in the poutines was greatly disappointing, especially with how much it cost, you would think you could at least get cheese curds. Unfortunately, maybe I was expecting too much because of the rave reviews I had heard, but it did not line up with the descriptions...

I was in the area and dropped by to this tiny place; literally tiny joint. But I must say I loved the thick fries, and ordered a chicken burger and it was very tasty. Staff was nice and friendly and due to COVID they bring the food to your car when ready so there is no close encounters with others which I thought was nice. Plus there are benches where you can stay and eat and a pet friendly area right beside it. Cant complain overall this is truly a hidden gem.

Definitely recommend! Staff were very friendly and polite! I had the maple bacon poutine and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a side of onion rings and they were to die for! I ate them so fast I forgot to take a picture... lol. Roosters Fries has a large variety of items on their menu and really great prices. The property is well kept with picnic tables, trees for shade, games for children, and a portable washroom. I will certainly be returning!
