Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar — Restaurant in Val-d'Or

I have come here 2x as I don't like to judge on 1 experience. The first time the hero burger didn't have the meat they advertised. This evening I ordered ribs. There were obviously boiled to all hell the meat itself had 0 flavour and they clearly tried to cover that up with a large amount of this BBQ sauce that was worse than generic stuff from grocery store. The fries were so over salted I couldn't eat them and I love salt. The coselaw however was nice but I do imagine that coming from a prepackaged bag. The place was packed for a Boxing day, and while the server did mention that they were swamped, my wife and I weren't in the rush. We loves the atmosphere, music was great, hockey game was on. Meal was awesome, wife had the French Onion soup, and it ranked in her top 3 of her favorite soups. Scallops were prepared perfectly, and beer on tap was cold and refreshing. I ordered an old fashion took 10 minutes to get it and I could see the barmaid going though some sort of recipe book as she never made one before. They used for one crushed ice and I overall was just adaquate nothing special once I got it. The 1/2 rack of ribs was more like a 1/3 of a rack with only 5 bones and hardly any meat.
