I reserved for high tea to bring my mom, my daughter, my sister and her daughter. The website said we could reserve until 5 pm so I reserved at 4 pm by phone a week before. When I reserved, the person did not say anything about how long we could stay. Then, the night before, another person called me from the restaurant to say that we could only stay until 530 since they had to prep dinner service. I told her I was disappointed they did not tell us about this before but I moved up reservation to 330 and she said that was fine. When I showed up my sister said they had stuck in a dark corner (while the entire place was empty) and she had to debate with them to be seated near a window (this is a restaurant renowned for the views of the water). They asked her if it was a special occasion! They finally put us by a window but right beside the kitchen door and all the serving areas w utensils etc (again, entire place empty). The tea service was ok though the food arrived before the tea and nothing tasted fresh. Then I opened an individual-sized jam container and saw that it had not only been opened but someone had already eaten out of it. When I asked the waitress to replace it, she had no reaction. We also asked if we could get an extra order of tea sandwiches and cakes since it is a pretty sparse plate and the waitress said they could not, since everything is made 2 days before! This explains why nothing tasted fresh (including the puff pastry). So we got some more food from kids menu (priced like an adult menu). Finally at 455 pm the people running the restaurant proceeded to loudly plan the evening while standing up beside our table. I had to actually ask if they could just give us a few minutes before screaming over us. We left, vowing to never do this again. Voilà: What was supposed to be a lovely girls tea for 3 generations (everyone had dressed up etc.) turned into a slight nightmare. So no more tea (or anything else) at...

Look, from start to finish the staff were very professional, the experience was excellent. The musician came to sing her happy birthday at desert and the staff was very attentive to ask her name before hand to sing her a personalized happy birthday song. The waiters and bus staff were excellent, always available and very friendly. The manager welcomed us when we arrived and wished us a great remainder of the day when we left. Truly 5 star service all around.
Food 6/5
4 course brunch, we had the fish entrée, pasta, and sea bass and lamb Overall we found the portions somewhat small, especially the pasta course, however the food was incredibly good and definitely made up for the smaller portions. Not sure how they cook the lamb, in my culture we pride ourselves on our lamb and I have eaten lamb countless number of times in my life, but unanimously we proclaimed after tasting it that it was by far the best lamb we had ever eaten in our lives. Congrats to the chef, his recipe is outstanding.
Price $$$$$ - High Went for Sunday brunch on my mothers 80th birthday. 4 people with tip 560$, we had mimosa's and coffee. The brunch is 85$ per person for the food only. So it is on the pricy side, and for us we would go back for a special event or something of that nature.
Recommendation ;
Ultimately my recommendation is to treat yourself to this place on special events as despite the price being high, the quality of the food is extraordinary and the professionalism of the service will make your experience truly special. Thanks for taking care of us on my mothers...
Read moreDear Villa Elena Manager,
I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment with our recent visit to your restaurant. Despite its beautiful ambiance, the service we received was subpar. Our waitress, Linda, seemed uninterested in attending to our needs. We had to wait an inordinate amount of time for drinks and bread. When we tried to order, she walked away without giving us a chance to finish. We asked her politely to please hold on for the main meals and she told as she was walking away from our table and yelling that the main courses are on their way .. she dumped the main courses while we were still trying to finish our entrees . She didn’t even pick up the empty dishes . Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional.
We were looking forward to a special evening with our children, but the experience fell short. Given the issues we faced, we're surprised no manager was available to address our concerns.We were told someone would call us, but we've yet to hear back. Unfortunately we will not be returning . Horrible experience from beginning to end!
We hope you'll take our feedback seriously and take necessary steps to improve your...
