Where to begin? We have eaten at this restaurant on a few occasions and it’s a good restaurant, I like the pizza. Last night was a whole other story! We had reserved a table around the corner from the bar for 17 women for a function. Two of us arrived late as we were attending to other business. On arrival, there was nobody else in the restaurant except for our table. When we arrived, I was coughing and desperately needed some water. There was no server to be seen near our table so I went to the bar while choking, and there were servers behind the bar, talking to each other, and not paying any attention to me, so I reached over the bar, grabbed two glasses, and went back to my table. The server, named Erica, finally came to our table and told me that I’m not to reach over the bar again to fetch glasses. I told her that she was nowhere to be found around our table and I needed water, so I helped myself to the glasses. She just repeated over and over again that I should not fetch my own water. Whatever! The rest of the table had their drinks and they had just ordered their food. My girlfriend and I ordered our food and drinks right away.. My friend ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and I ordered a margarita pizza. Simple. Her salad came and it was not a Caesar salad and when my friend said to the waitress, no no no, I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The waitress argued with her and told her that she did not order it, and that she never makes mistakes. This was bar none the rudest server I have ever come across in my 61 years. Six of us at the end of the table heard her order her Caesar salad and Erica, the server refused to take ownership of her mistake. One of the ladies took it up with the manager, who was great. He offered to exchange the salads for her, he took her salad off the bill, and I shared my pizza with her. At the end of the night this girl was so rude when the ladies were paying the bills and they weren’t leaving her a tip. We asked her name and she said my name is Erica and I don’t care if you leave me a bad review because I’m leaving this restaurant. Then she had the audacity to say to all the ladies. I hope I never see you ladies ever again in any place that I ever work at.. She never apologized, she never took ownership, and everybody knows that everybody makes mistakes. If you’re in the service industry, you know that the customer is always right. All 17 of these ladies live in the area and all 17 heard this girl and the trash that came out of her mouth. I can guarantee you that every single one of them will think twice about going back to this restaurant. If I ever go and I see that girl working, I will turn around and walk out. I don’t believe that this is the fault of the restaurant, it’s actually quite a good restaurant, but one bad apple, like Erica can put a really bad taste in the mouth of a customer. Definitely try the restaurant but make reservations and be sure to ask not to be seated in Erica’s...

We enjoy going to the Casino and playing the slots. Shortly after opening, we decided to try this location and obviously wanted to eat at the restaurant. Our first time we were seated and forgotten about for 45 minutes (ok fair enough since it’s a new restaurant); Our second time, the waitress mistakenly brought us the mini size Coronas used in the margarita cocktail and the pizza we ordered took 45 minutes (the manager realized we waited and did discount our meal); Our third visit went pretty well; Our fourth visit the server left the menus with us after we ordered (she was obviously new to serving) but then she used the vinegar cloth used to clean tables, to wipe out our drink glasses and our drinking water was basically vinegar water. The bun for the beef dip menu item was substituted for something much smaller than the first time we had it, and not filling with less meat; Our last and final time we will ever go was last night when the server tried to charge us for an extra Corona. We also attempted to make a reservation by calling in and left a message. Upon speaking to the hostess, she didn’t realize the phone system took messages.
Some serious organization and training is needed in this place. A manager needs to circulate to make sure people are looked after. These experiences really ruined our nights out. The food was mostly always very good though. After our third visit went well we felt it would be fair to give them another chance considering we knew they were still working the kinks out of a new business. We will probably go back considering we live close by and like the Casino, but we will not have high expectations and not look forward to it.

Read moreOur experience at Match Eatery in Wasaga Beach was extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. We made a reservation in advance and noted that it was for a birthday celebration. There was no acknowledgment at all — no greeting, no mention, nothing. It set the tone for what ended up being a truly poor experience. Service was chaotic. After placing our dinner order, our server completely disappeared — we later found out they just went home without anyone informing us or reassigning our table. As a result, we had no server for a large portion of the evening, and no one came to check on us after our food arrived. We also had multiple issues with our drinks. We clearly ordered virgin raspberry fizz drinks — for a designated driver and a pregnant guest — and yet twice we were served alcoholic drinks. One of those times, the female bartender argued that triple sec is not alcohol. Which is both incorrect and completely unprofessional. This was not only frustrating but could have had serious consequences. When we finally asked for the bill and takeout boxes (after waiting again for nearly 20 minutes), we noticed we were charged for all four incorrect alcoholic drinks. We had to argue just to have those removed — again, not something you want to deal with after an already disappointing night. This experience was disorganized, inattentive, and borderline unsafe due to the mishandling of drink orders. Between the vanishing server, lack of birthday acknowledgment, dangerous drink mix-ups, and an argumentative bartender, we absolutely will not be returning — and I strongly caution others to think twice before...
