Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Waterloo

TLDR; Usually great service, this last time it was lacking a lot and makes us not want to come back.

My husband and I usually order pizza for delivery from this location with his app at least once usually twice a month. We've never had a problem until this last time. A couple weeks ago we had some free pizza gift certificates (courtesy of the Panthers game). Saturday night I called and ordered a free pizza for pickup as well as some garlic fingers. Everything was fine.

But then on Sunday I called to place an order. The woman who answered the phone hung up on me. So I called back. The man who answered said she had answered from the back phone but they had been having problems with it. Fine. I wasn't happy about that but I could understand. I went to place my order for my free pizza and he started to grill me on where I got the gift certificate. (Because I called from the same phone as the night before I felt like he thought I was reusing the same certificate as the night before. I wasn't. We had 5 of them.) I didn't like the tone but I understand that you need to know where they are coming from. At the end he gruffly told me to make sure I give the certificate over when I pick up the pizza.

When my husband went inside to pick up the pizza he gave the man working the name. When he handed over the certificate the man scoffed and rolled his eyes at my husband. My husband got the pizza and came home.

The whole interaction just rubbed us both the wrong way. First being hung up on and then the attitude and everything really makes me not want to go back.

We likely will and if this happened to be a fluke and not happen again then I will edit my review to reflect that. As it stands currently, it is no longer a 5 star...

I was choosing between coming to the dominos on weber or this one, I choose this one because weber location read lots saying how weber dominos store add little toppings whereas this dominos I seen 2 months ago pic and fluffy and extra cheese but when I ordered with extra cheese, see pizza pic, standard cheese that's not extra cheese! nor is there even melted cheese extending out to the crust just crusty burnt bits! Yet not only no extra cheese, you see pizza nowhere near as fluffy as other pics not even close! There was another topping issue; tomato little bits were added and not on each slice like the green olives. Another complaint with how little sauce on half the slices, and point out other slices dry chewy/ elasticy with next to no sauce. Just a bad rushed job overall. And bad tasting pizza to show for it! All in all my experience here a colossal letdown!! Hope dominos store owner sees this and makes it better for me somehow, otherwise I'll be contacting dominos corporate and customer care especially and showing them same pic and more from my phone, different angles and zoom in pics of it too!! Pretty surprised at all the great reviews this place gets.... We bought it twice, once a year ago and again a few weeks ago, and we ended up throwing out most of our pizza last time. It just... was not good at all. Most of the pizza was crust unfortunately, the toppings were very centered in the pizza, it was pretty greasy, and the crust underneath the toppings was extremely thin so the pizza fell apart as we were grabbing slices. I wouldn't call the toppings or crust good quality, they were average at best. We also ordered bread sticks and found it was literally pizza dough stretched out and baked with nothing else added? Maybe some parsley and that's it? Surprising since most places will add butter, garlic, salt, something, not just serve you plain baked dough. It felt like most of what we bought was dough. And the price was surprisingly high, around $20 for a large pizza and bread sticks. We wanted to give this place another try after the last time, but it was so bad that we have no intention of going back. The place was nice, the person working was nice, the service and timeliness was good, but the food is just plain bad. Hopefully they...
