My son refused to go home tonight and wanted to go for a drive. I ended up at Wellington Bakery which I have never tried before but it was calling my name. I was first thrown off by the unwelcoming interior and how there was no one there in the bakery. I still looked around and decided to get a half loaf of raisin brown bread which seemed like a good price at $3.50. When I picked up the paper bag, it was still warm which I have never encountered at a bakery before. Even though I couldn't even see what the bread looked like I was already excited to try. I went out to the convenience store to grab an M&M meat shop item and pay, where I was greeted by a cashier who was super friendly and happy. When I got to the parking lot I just had to open the bread. It looked incredible, so my toddler and I dug in. Before we knew it we devoured almost half a loaf of bread because it was soo very good!! It was warm and super fresh, perfect crispiness on the outside but tender and soft on the inside, just like my late Grandmother's. It didn't even need butter, it was perfect on its own. I look forward to going back and trying different breads, sweets and pies. Besides finding a new addiction, I also realized that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This place is awesome! Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the bread before it was devoured, only what was left of it lol

Just finished a slice of delicious blueberry pie. Had gone in for brown bread (it had sold out), but there were too many great looking desserts to leave empty-handed!

I love the smell of bakery that produces its products, on site. It has been years since I have been in the Wellington Bakery in Wellington, NS. Today was the day I checked it out. They have a wonderful selection on baked goods and I am sure they taste as good as they looked and smelled. Unfortunately, I no longer eat any products with gluten, so I left empty handed. They explained that the baked goods without gluten would have to be baked in a separate facility, so as not to be contaminated by the regular goods. If you can eat regular, bread, muffins, squares, etc. I highly recommend Wellington Bakery. Sadly, it is friends and relatives who get to enjoy their...

Wife likes it when I think of her when I'm out and about. If I drive by without getting a cookie.. you know. And seeing how most times it's her bringing home the molasses or ginger cookies. Yummy... best to stay on the good side. We often get baked goods there they usually have a good selection out. May not have specific items but we never leave empty handed. Excellent cookies may I recommend the molasses or ginger...
