In our last couple of years in the Lower Mainland, we've discovered many gems hidden in plain sight in the form of local businesses in Metro Vancouver, all of which we have thence kept going back to as repeat customers. Speaking of inconspicuous gems, the recentmost one that we stumbled upon is The Orchard Gleneagles Clubhouse. Cradled by the Gleneagles Golf Course which itself is nestled on the pretty slopes by Larson Bay in West Vancouver, driving to this pretty location is a treat in itself! A local business which is "run by locals, for locals", they do their very best to achieve their aim of "creating a feeling of a holiday experience, offering something beautiful and immersive, with lots of fresh flowers and expansive outdoor spaces." After arriving at the beautiful venue, we entered the pretty, bustling restaurant having a warm and inviting ambiance with a cozy atmosphere. We were greeted by a combination of cheerful staff, pleasant music being played live by a local artist, and gorgeous water views from the indoor and outdoor seating areas! We chose to sit by the fire in the patio, and had the pleasure of sharing a table with friends for the entire evening. After a quick tour of the lobby and the aptly named Great Hall and dance floor (its almost 4000 sq. ft. being ideal for hosting weddings and banquets) at the Clubhouse, we grabbed a glass each of yummy refresher drinks, and settled into our comfy seats. What ensued was fun conversations interspersed with neatly plated delish appetizers and canapes being served by the crew of Aoife, Kat, Libby and Melissa. These kind and hard-working ladies sure did a lot of heavy-lifting for the evening! We just couldn't get enough of the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken w/ Gochujang Sauce and Wild Mushroom Risotto, so ordered more of these along with the staff-recommended libations - Margarita and Mai Tai! Rest assured that we ended the evening with on a high with our hearts and tummies full! 🥂 If you are looking to go "somewhere unique" for good food in Metro Vancouver, and/or catch "some of the best views on the North Shore", especially when the weather is amazing, then The Clubhouse is the place for you. 5 stars and counting on all fronts, Team Orchard Gleneagles - thank you for having us, and we can't wait to return!

I can’t praise this place enough. Firstly, we visited on Easter Day with a group of 12 people. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was exceptional. I ordered their Espresso Martini for a drink and absolutely loved it, while others opted for their Caesar cocktail. For appetizers, we shared their Yam fries and Calamari, both of which were delightfully crispy and delicious. For my main course, I enjoyed the poke bowl, which was incredibly tasty, especially after I customized it with extra veggies. I highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy the golf view and the cozy fireplace ambiance. And don’t leave without trying their homemade apple cake, which stole the spotlight.

The Orchard Restaurant at Gleneagles Golf Course in West Vancouver offers a nice dining experience, though the menu is fairly basic. The food is decent, but nothing particularly exciting or unique stands out, though the daily happy hour menu seems to be popular among golfers and guests. Service is friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. During busy hours on occasion you need to flag down the servers. If you're after a casual meal with an amazing golf course view, The Orchard is a solid choice—just don’t expect anything extraordinary from the menu.

I rarely give negative reviews. I also updated my review from 1 to a 2 to a 3 and now to a 4 because we tried it again and gain had much better experience and service mostly because of one person and that was a manager called Evelyn. The Orchard Restaurant was hit and miss with their overall operations and their ownership and management does not always deliver a consistent experience with food or service. But the food and service each time we go in is getting much better. We had some great experiences early on, when they first opened up, but it feels like the quality has declined over time to the point we stopped going. We've experienced issues with staffing, not enough servers, missing items, inconsistent food quality, not picking up the phone, and some down right terrible attitude from at least one of their managers. One time, we were told after waiting 1/2 hour for our take out order that our order would be delayed by another hour, and with no apology. The management blamed it on another function they were having and it happened in the fall of 22. That particular manager she was extremely rude and abrupt. But there are also some very nice people that work there as well. The chef and a few servers are friendly and hospitable. But Due to the unreliability of this establishment, we have stopped going. West Vancouver is filled with great restaurants with excellent management, service, and food. We hope The Orchard can turn things around and live up to its potential, as we live close by and would love to dine there regularly. I do not like to see people fail and I hope they get it together and succeed. We try it again in the spring of 24 and see if it has improved. The food and service had improved. But we have not heard a response from the owner about past experiences. We did upgrade review from 1 to 3. We love to see business do well and don't like leaving negative reviews unless the experience...

Visited about 2 weeks ago with a group of 15. I had the Orchard Poke Salad but was very dissappointed. It did not taste good at all. I had it before and it was absolutely delicious and the reason I chose it again. I don't think this time I had any dressing on it and asked for some. Looking at the menu later, I realized that I had a choice between brown rice or a bed of greens as well as a choice between I think 4 dressings. The waitress never offered me any choices. Our group was seated at 2 tables. The people on my table had various issues with their food as well. To name a few: expected their sandwich to be toasted but wasn't; was to come with avocado but was not; a hamburger was to come with a special cheese but wasn't. When waitress was asked about it, she checked with the kitchen and brought the cheese on the side. Three people waited for a very long time to get their food (I think it was "just" hamburgers). Because of the shortcomings, some people's bill was somewhat adjusted. The service was not very good. Can't comment on the experience of the other table . Looking at my bill at home, I realized that a gratuity fee was already added to the invoice which I did not know. I would have tipped diferently if I had been aware of it. I recommended the place before and I will try it again if in the neighbourhood. But hope that my experience will be much better and more like the first...
