Good food, server was good. Deducted one point from the atmosphere category for playing the rider game WITH NO SOUND. This is acceptable for cfl games played in the annoyingly noisy Montreal stadium but not mosaic. Had to use my phone to watch the game at my table. Also deducted 3 points for the staff CALLING THE POLICE because they happened to see me leave my large suitcase at the back of the building behind the dumpsters because I didn't want to wheel it around through the restaurant. I have yet to figure out what kind of serious risk they felt this action could have posed to them, but to whichever staff was responsible for this, I would recommend pursuing a career in an industry less prone to risk and unpredictability than a lounge/restaurant. Maybe one where you can work remotely from a secured room in your parents basement or something. Seriously though lol like I was sitting there at my table watching the rider game eating nachos. You could have been an adult and just asked me about it instead of CALLING THE POLICE...I would have deducted more stars had the officer involved not been a pretty cool lady and very friendly. Admittedly the bar was not that high when it comes to my expectations of police officers, but she definitely surpassed it by far. So I give you 2 stars for facilitating the first enjoyable conversation I've had with a cop, but I do think that's pretty generous considering this obviously wasn't intentional. 5 stars for the cops (the other 99% could definitely learn something from her) and 5 stars for the server. 0 stars for the frightened witness/employee who reported this heinous crime of hiding a bag i didnt feel like wheeling around everywhere by the dumpster so no one would steal it. im sure that was an excellent use of an hour's worth of tax dollars for two officers on a Saturday night. And I guess thanks for the entertainment, it being by far the most ridiculous reason I've heard of for calling the cops, and it was also nice to have the challenge of figuring out the reason they felt my actions were threatening enough to call the police over. Was there an explosive device inside it that I would use to destroy the restaurant THAT I WAS INSIDE using a bomb located 20 feet away outside the building? Maybe it was full of gold bars stolen in a heist from the weyburn rbc? Who knows, the possibilities are endless. So yeah it was fun I guess so thanks to the mystery BP back alley lurker/trash bin monitor. Oh and also thanks for making me miss the end of the rider game too and delaying my disappointment over their loss to edmonton until I was at home so I could cry in private. Weyburn probably needs some real crime for these officers to investigate because I'm pretty sure they're starting...
Read moreDriving from Manitoba to Alberta. Placed an order online for pick up at this location at 4:25pm (about an hour before we would be going through Weyburn). Walk in to pick up my order and confusion. Easy to tell the girl at the till couldn’t find my order. Manager guy comes over and tells the girl to go get my order he’d take my cash. Doesn’t have a key for change. Standing around for 10 minutes or so Manager guy comes over with a receipt and asks if it was my order, I confirm it was. Another 5 minutes and original girl comes back and starts whispering to another girl at the front. Pretty easy to tell something isn’t right. Second girl asks me why it took me so long to pick up my order. I tell her we are travelling through, placed it an hour ago for pick up at 4:25pm. More whispering ensues. Second manager guy comes out after I’ve been waiting for about 20 minutes (again with a receipt) asks if this is my order. Yes it is. Tells me that someone picked it up already. Says he personally confirmed the order with the guy, couldn’t answer why they never confirmed the pick up time of 4:25pm when the guy picked it up half an hour before that. First manager comes back and tells second manager to just make a new order and starts to put my cash in the register. No one says sorry just assumes I have all day to wait for all the food to be remade. I reiterate I’m travelling through and just want my cash back. Guessing that they just never made my food the first time since no one would take a medium pizza and Gluten Free pasta just on a whim. So instead of just admitting it half an hour earlier and actually making it quickly, they make up some BS story as to why it wasn’t there. So not only did I leave with no food but I also had to stand around for an extra half an hour instead of driving. Brutal service won’t darken the...
Read moreI ordered pickup here twice last week. The first time was excellent. A female employee with curly hair was very friendly and my food was ready right when expected, and delicious! A couple of nights later (granted it was a Friday night), my food was supposed to be ready at 5pm for pick up. The front entryway had at one point reached 16, yes 16 people waiting for a table or to pick up their take out. The young women working the front seemed overwhelmed. I don't mind waiting when food is running late. But when a business is going to go nutty over covid procedures and limiting spaces to the point of making huge amounts of people huddle together in a doorway, your policies lose all purpose.
RESPONSE: I think it's pretty evident by my review what could be done to make it better. Don't limit table spaces for patrons if it's going to force huge groups of strangers to congregate in the entryway. It's illogical and counterproductive to limiting the spread of the virus you are so...
