Ottawa River Barn — Restaurant in Whitewater Region

Terrible service was an understatement. No picture because I never received my order after waiting for 2 hrs. I waited for 30 mins and decided to ask if my chicken wrap was coming. The waiter recited the order for the entire table and I told her yes that’s right there’s a chicken wrap. So I went back to the table to wait again another 20 mins, and asked when the chicken wrap was coming. This time she recited the order again and told me it was coming. Another 15 mins passed again and I told her that I haven’t received my chicken wrap yet. She gave me the dirtiest look and said “okay?”. 15 mins passed again and since it was the FOURTH TIME, I asked my friend to ask for my chicken wrap because I was embarrassed of asking. My friends came back telling me that they ran out of the chicken wrap. But the waiter NEVER TOLD US!!! At this point it was 8pm and I just wanted to get out. Our group came here because Wilderness Tours recommended this as a good place to eat. We were thoroughly disappointed. Not only was 80% of their menu unavailable, their daily special was also unavailable. We had the wagyu burgers (more expensive) which didn't taste great and the buns were stale. The food sat on the counter while the staff scrambled to figure out where to serve them. One of the servers gave our order to another group, and did not replace it. We asked for the order 3 times, but didn't receive any sort of confirmation or accountability. Finally, on the fourth ask they acknowledged that they sent it to a different table and informed us they had no more ingredients to make it. The food here was actually quiet nice and of good quality. I had seen the pics posted online of their restaurant, and was severely let down when I got there. The corn holes were put away, the outside dining was unappealing and even inside the "barn" was run down looking. The bar itself was rustic and charming. So if you're looking for atmosphere to go with your food, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a senic drive and a good bite, then this is for you.
