This is a local joint located on the East side in Grand Cayman. It is pretty much a takeout place but there were some outdoor picnic type tables around. We stopped to try some local dishes with my wife getting baked fish and I got the turtle stew. Yes, I ate turtle as it was a local thing. Honestly the turtle meat was very good, much like roast. However, I was not a fan of the turtle stew as they use other parts of the turtle that just didn’t go well for me. My wife’s fish and vegetables were great though and they offered a variety of fried fish such as Wahoo and Snapper. Their prices were below what we were used to seeing in Cayman with the most expensive dish being around $15 Cayman. I think my wife and I both ate there for about $30US (no drinks). Note all prices were in Cayman dollars. As of this writing the exchange was $1CI = $1.25US. Thus, you will pay more than the menu prices if you pay in US dollars. Also note that most places in the Caymans add a gratuity of around 15% which is shared among the entire staff. You then can add or not depending on your situation to be given directly to your server. If you are looking for something to pick up for the room, then definitely give this place a try, especially with...

Parking lot was empty but wow are people missing out. Awesome food, great value, and incredible view. Many locals came through to pick up orders they had called in (this May be why some thought locals got food faster than them). We shared a large goat curry and conch fritters, it was only $18 KYD and we had left overs. Most goat meat I have ever had, (after removing bones and gristle normal in dish) by about double. (Paid price listed, other white tourists like us may have been confused that they are in foreign country and prices listed are local currency?) Anyway, conch was great and the view was amazing as we sat at one of the many table there and watched waves crash and clouds change with sunset. Wonderful. Oh and so was the service, one woman show when we were there and when I returned to window to see if food was ready, she let me know she saw where we sat and would bring it out. Shame others didn’t have our experience, we will go back before...

Authentic island foods, shaded patio seating and reasonable prices. Stopped here on our way back from Georgetown. Hoping that Turtle Stew was on the menu - nope, but Goat Curry was!

Our party of four likes to try different foods so we usually order three different meals and an appetizer or two. Here we started with Conch Fritters and Conch Soup. Fritters were excellent and huge, biggest we’ve had on the island. Soup was also great but I would like a bit more heat.

For meals we ordered the Goat Curry, Cayman Style Beef and Fried Grouper. Grouper was great, crisp and juicy. Goat Curry was flavorful but I added hot sauce. Hit of the meal was the CI Style Beef. Very tasty with clear spices and some heat.

Charming spot you...
