Forest Cafe — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Good things: surrounding is great, outdoor seats are mosquito/flies free and not too warm (we visit on a summer day), a few service staffs are helpful and polite, washroom infrastructure is good and clean, parking is spacious and easy. There is a small wood board sign along the main road so u know where to turn so to find the cafe.

Bad things(therefore I can only give 2 stars): culinary is all plastic and it feels really cheap and not environmental friendly either. The cafe says it is due to COVID restrictions but I'm not too sure, as there are plenty of small restaurants offering metal culinary and glasses already. And they charge 5% of the total bill because of all these plastic culinary and paper food boxes, regardless of dining in or takeaway. the aunty who helped take my order needs to be trained properly about customer service. I ordered a soda and a snack and she got both wrong. I didn't even bother to complain abt the soda as it was still a "soda" and I could live wit it. When I asked the aunty my snack was wrong, the first reaction from her is "you pointed wrongly", however I said very, very clearly the name of my order, meanwhile I pointed to the menu. Afterwards, aunty didnt apologize at all and instead asked if I still want the same thing. This is a very unpleasant experience and I already lost my mood. female washroom out of tissue paper and no one took care. The cafe was not really full and the aunty (who took my order wrongly) was standing beside with nothing to do. food and drink quality is below average. My husband ordered Angus salad and what we got reminds me of the salad u got from supermarket open shelves. I even feel fast food chain can do better.

Give all above experience, I will not visit again and will not recommend anyone go there for food or service. If you do want to visit as you like the ambience, fyi there is a board...

2pm on Friday and only one table is occupied, yet the Angus beef burger and the Yuzu cheesecake were horrendous for that price. The only star is for the peaceful space. The owner is not doing anything but chatting loudly with his friends, let one staff to handle EVERYTHING and made customer wait. Not recommended to...

Location is way out of the way, but if you're ever near the Wishing tree and in the mood for burgers , this is one of my favorite places in HK. Gourmet burger is outstanding (skip the salad. It's just lettuce and vinegar) and the staff is great. It's just a place for the local villagers to hang out and enjoy...
