Tianzhong Hotel — Restaurant in Tianjin

We stayed at this hotel because of it's location - it's on the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine campus, and it's cheap. These are the only benefits of this establishment. It is very dirty - the carpets are old and look like they are never vacuumed, the bathroom had crusty "stuff" on the toilet, the rooms smelled like musty sewage, and the wallpaper, ceilings, and doors had stains and water damage. The front desk staff are fairly helpful, but the maids were not. We needed extra towels and they came in our room and tried to take them back from us. Our hot pot was crusty and they brought us a "new" one that was broken. There is no fridge in the room, the shower is not separated from the toilet (although some rooms have a separation), the noise from outside is bothersome (if it's not extreme wind then it's students/people running around), and you can clearly hear the plumbing through the ceiling.
