Bay's Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Tsuen Wan District

Curiosity led us to pay a visit to this restaurant within the Bay Bridge Lifestyle Retreat due to a promotion room rate of less than HKD300 a night. Turned out the price of a normal meal were not in par with the room rate. A burger meal is close to HKD200 and a Laksa is 3 times as much they charge at downtown location. A soup is almost HKD100. Oh well, we specially made the trip. Might as well try it out on a nice sunny Sunday in a quiet restaurant.

Location is a bit out of the way but view from the patio is nice. We waited for our a la carte meal after they finished the lunch buffet. We were the only table and kitchen wasn’t busy. Thought chef would pay more attention but we were so wrong. We found a medium size cockroach being cooked with our egg inside the burger (attached pic). That was absolutely disgusting!

Waiter/Manager was called upon and they swiftly dealt with the problem. We were given another burger and the cost of the meal was waived. That was very kind of them to do so but bad experience of such kind of appalling food handling planted deeply in our mind. Staff were helpful and apologetic but nothing was able to salvage the damage...

This restaurant has a beautiful view, you can enjoy your food while sitting beside the river. The sunlight is beautiful with the glass window. The restaurant provide breakfast, tea and dinner buffet. We didn't try the food in this restaurant, but it seems like there are not many choise of foods in the buffet. You can choose indoor or outdoor, however there are not many table for outdoor as it is very hot...

Semi lunch buffet with a main course. Pork a bit over cooked. Salad bar is good. One highlight is the hk style milk tea, very authentic.
