Visited this place as my last stop before heading to the airport. Although it says it opens at 10, I was there before 10 and there was already a table of customers dining halfway. Was a little intimidating at first after pushing the door, it was very quiet and didn't know if they were ready for business, but one female staff at the counter greeted me and then asked me to place my order. Asked for some recommendations though I knew I should try the Hui Mian here, initially wanted to try the basic seafood noodles at 18RMB ended up upgrading to a better and more expensive one which the staff told me had a better broth. She also asked me if I wanted anything else, so I ordered a tofu dish as well. Paid and sat at an empty table. Didn't wait long before the tofu was served. Felt strange they served the tofu instead of the noodles first. Didn't like it that though there was just one other table occupied, they were talking very loudly and even smoking inside the restaurant. I enjoyed the tofu a lot, but I kinda regretted ordering as dishes in China tend to be on the bigger side, so if eating alone one dish should usually suffice. And as I expected the noodles came and the bowl looked so big and the soup was almost to the brim. I tried the noodles and it was generally okay, but was disappointed that the upgraded seafood didn't have any spectacular seafood ingredients. Instead I thought there were even prawns in the cheaper version and this had some slices of stuff which I couldn't even decipher what it was. Soup was not bad but couldn't know if it was better as had no basis to compare. Food was overall okay, big portion and after finishing the tofu I couldn't finish the noodles. Slightly on the expensive side for China standards. Understand that this is a pretty good restaurant which is popular among the locals. Would probably be a 3.5...
