Chris's Cafe — Restaurant in England

Popped in today and wanted to invite these guys onto a tv program we are documenting, based on the good old British Cafe! I’ve called in many times before, and as it goes, the food is always on point. Today, I was served by a fairly unhappy lady, who made my tea, I put the spoon on the spoon side, and went to get some sugar, it was swiftly grabbed and thrown into the spoon and water tub. As if to say, ‘don’t do that again’, so I didn’t bother with the sugar. I then had a different misery who delivered me my breakfast. Resembling Olive, from on the buses. I said, ‘thank you so much’, and she said nothing and walked away. Then she came back and collected my plate, and looked at me as though I was an enemy! Maybe she has me mis identified. I have watched them both really friendly to all the men who have come in, and it’s all very bizarre…. Anyway, I will avoid in future, just incase these ladies don’t like other ladies. I gave this cafe a 3 only due to one exceptional lady on the tills, who apologised all the time to issues we had with the food, and did everything to try and rectify the situation. The wait was long to be served, and longer for the food order, in what is not really a big place. Food was warm, one of our party of 4 had their food when I had finished. Half of the toast turned up when we all finished. This happened years ago when I first tried here, with the till trying to calm the situation while other staff were seen on their phone. But on the flip side, lorries can park here, so parking is good. When closing, scraps are fed to the kites from the area. You can often see people outside taking photos. This used to happen about 2pm. Also with the rapid disappearance of cafes, you tend to forgive some of the less favourable aspects. I came and tried it again, I will rather drive further. I went my my colleague to buy some lunches and approched to the counter, and an asian lady was talking by phone, and talking and laughing and talking and she didn't attend us, she saw us with the uniform and carry on speaking, suddently a customer who was sat with another person having a drink stood up and came to the counter and the asian lady went to him to atten him and serve, I was bloody surprised with her attitude, or she doesn't like the carers or nurses or anyone with the same uniform, or maybe she had some personal bad experience with them that she just IGNORED US, What the hell? I hope she is not the owner coz.... anyway, the service was RUBBISH, and if i ended up buying something was only coz I was starving. But I could say something or a lot to her. Very disrespectful from her part. I won't go never again to buy the nice bread pudding. And if she is not the owner, she deserves...
