Restaurante El Chiringuito Español — Restaurant in Cartagena

This is an interesting, out of the beaten path, place. Very simple setting, and yet it feels more local than any of the restaurants in the old walled city. It is a bit of a drive, but if you are looking for an authentic local place that is family friendly for lunch and takes you away from touristy spots, this fits the bill. Service was good, still owned by the original family (Spanish/Colombian). Food was also tasty and very fresh. It is all outside dinning, but all shaded and has some large trees that cool...

Very authentic! The food was so fresh and delicious! They take pride in what they cook and want to make sure everything is good for your visit. We had chicken ... Shrimp... And the lobster main dish- could have fed 6! The lemonade was like a fresh frozen...

I went two times there, eaten different things but same result, very delicious food, fresh and sizes are more than enough. Price are very reasonable. Very recommended...
