This was one of my best restaurant experiences. The service was unlike anything I've ever had anywhere in the world. Entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the owner. I don't speak Spanish but the owners English is fantastic, so he took our order himself. He explained the menu and helped us chose the best meal and wine to accompany the meal. Now for the food. It was SO unique and delicious. Every dish paired unique flavors. One of the dishes was a sweet, glazed pork with peaches that had been marinated for days in a spiced mixture (I've never tasted spicy peaches, they were great!). Every dish that was brought out was beautiful and equally delicious. The desert at the end was perfect, not overly sweet. They change the menu weekly so I can't make any specific recommendations but whatever you decide to order you'll love it.

We went for mother’s day to this restaurant, the food was fantastic! all locally sourced, we had the chicken, presa iberica, pastel de choclo. The sauce of the chicken was incredibly interesting, complex and herby. The patatas nativas bravas could be a bit more “bravas” lacked a bit of spice for our taste. The uchuba sauce from the dessert was a delicious twist from your usual creme anglaise. The cheese board as everything has a local touch which we appreciated. The atmosphere the service were also top notch even if it was one of their biggest days. I would absolutely come back next time we are back in Colombia looking forward to see how this restaurant evolves. don’t miss the little stand selling local bread, eggs, veggies and other produce on your way out.

We heard about this place from a friend and went here for lunch on Saturday afternoon and it was really nice. The ambiance is more than meets the eye when you see it from the outside. It’s kind of a vibe… they played great music ranging from The Beatles to Motown. We had to wait even through we had a reservation, but we didn’t mind. We ordered a bottle of wine on the patio and our server recommended a really nice bottle and even better he stayed with us when we got our table. We got several things to share and the food was all delicious. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area or as part of a day trip to Guatavita (go there too)!

You will never be disappointed with oriente. We had the smoked trout, blood sausage and corn cake as appetizers, everything was delicious. Special shout out to the smoked trout, the flavour and combination with the guatila on top made it a star!

As mains we had the roasted chicken and the "asado de tira". The chicken was moist and flavourful, the green sauce with vegetables that come with it could use just a tiny bit more flavor but it was a great dish. The "asado de tira" was delicious, just wished a little bit more broth came with it.

Finally the carrot cake dessert, is one of the best we have tasted so far, the smoked pineapple sauce was an awesome touch.

Not to mention the really cold delicious Hoppulus...
