Authentic Costa Rican Flavors at Soda La Fuente – A Must-Visit!

Soda La Fuente is a true hidden gem in Costa Rica! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, homemade Costa Rican cuisine at its finest. Every dish was bursting with fresh flavors, and you could tell it was made with love. We especially enjoyed the casado, which was perfectly seasoned and came with generous portions. The gallo pinto was another highlight—simple yet incredibly flavorful, just the way it should be!

What truly sets Soda La Fuente apart is the genuine service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to share recommendations or a warm smile. It felt like dining with family, and that personal touch made our experience even more special.

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Costa Rica with heartfelt hospitality, look no further. Soda La Fuente is a must-visit, and we can’t wait to return for another...

This place is nothing short of delicious! Ordering was easy, the restaurant has a simple design in the center of a small town. Food resembles a home cooked meal and tasted incredible. We came with a group of 30 people and not 1 person complained about any item on their plate. Service itself was lacking (although our group was overwhelming for a small restaurant) but everyone was served and fed in a reasonable timeframe. Great flavours, real Costa Rican food which is becoming hard to find with so much American cuisine becoming the norm in Costa Rica. A real gem and...

I think we ate at a Soda everyday we were in Costa Rica... and this one was my favorite. I got the Casado with grilled chicken, rice and salad (it's the typical Costa Rican lunch). Their chicken was so good and so moist -- it had onions with it which I hadn't seen anywhere else. It was off the beaten path so there were no other tourists there, just locals. Highly recommend. I actually made my husband go back there a second time. It's a great stop if you're on your way from Liberia...

Great stop while passing through Bagaces. Good prices and plenty of space. My husband and I got the lunch buffet. We don't speak fluent Spanish so didn't understand initially that we could have gotten even more food on our plate. The food was delicious - rice, beans, chicken, fried vegetables, and more. Bathrooms were nice too. Wonderful memory.

Great little cafe in Bagaces. We stopped while visiting Guanacaste for a late lunch. We both had a casado - highly recommend the bistec de cerdo. I also had a mango drink which was delicious. The service was quick and attentive. Excellent spot for local food at a cheap price point.
