While the view is excellent and the property has a good swimming hole, the food and service are lacking, especially for the price. I'll start with the food. I'm going to be honest, my wife got sick soon after we left and felt better after purging her meal. The only reason I'm giving three stars for food is because my mahi mahi was pretty good and didn't make me sick. The service was just not good. We ended up ordering two drinks after our meal for the sunset, which we didn't receive. After waiting for quite a while, we got frustrated and asked for the bill, only to find we were being charged for the non-existent drinks. When I went up to the bar, the staff were willing to fix it but really gave me the impression that they would rather remove the drinks from the bill and get rid of me as opposed to just letting me close out and make me the drinks we had ordered. Needless to say, we won't...

Took the prime seat with a great view of the sunset. Most of the seating doesn't have this but there's a communal sunset viewing spot 50 feet away. The servers were exceptionally polite, and the service was on the spot, not overly attentive. Shrimp cocktail prepared excellently, peppercorn tenderloin on special cooked and spiced expertly, even the vegetables were done perfectly (broccoli, squash, carrot, eggplant, and mashed potatos, all reasonably proportioned). Cleaning my plate was easy. Brownie dessert wasn't my favorite but the peanut butter ice cream it came with made up for it. Wish I'd tried the crepes. For those traveling here its located down a 200 meter winding down and up single lane gravel road, use caution that someone may be coming the other way. The attached resort looked expensive and lovely, wish I'd had more time to...

Absolutely wonderful experience. Arrived here after it being suggested by someone else.

Views are incredible, and the food was very delicious. The staff welcomed us with a smile and where very knowledgeable of the menu.

You can absolutely tell that the ingredients were fresh, and the drinks were made with natural ingredients not processed syrups.

The kitchen was a little bit behind the day we visited due to a large group, but they kept us updated on the progress and it was well worth it in the end.

The grounds surrounding the resort and restaurants are absolutely beautiful and jungle like, with incredible views of the sea.

Highly...

Let's start with the good, it was clean and the service was good, and the view is nice. The food however is where things fell apart, we ordered ceviche was was pretty good actually, but the chips served with them were stale and even damp. The "fish of the day" was a minimum of 2 days old, horrifically over cooked and underseasoned. I could go on, but I won't. Suffice to say all of our food suffered similar issues. The food was just way below expectations especially for the price. The cocktails were also really lacking. I just can't offer a reason to pick this place out of the many other far better choices in the area.

We went to the Aracari for sunset. From the parking to the cocktails to our departure, the experience was delightful! We arrived after 5p, after the cutoff time for appetizers on the vieweing deck, so cannot comment on the food. That said, our server was friendly and attentive. Our drinks were lovely, and the view and company were just wonderful! The parking attendant was kind and helpful, and from beginning to end was a welcoming and near white-glove in its attention to detail and flawlessly executed experience. Must do for sunset in Uvita! We will be arriving earlier and staying for dinner next time.
