First time in long time that I felt like invisible in a place.
For starters, I must explain that chorreadas and tortillas de queso (cheese tortillas) are two of my favorite costarrican typical foods. Therefor I learned how to make chorreadas, and I'm still trying to get cheese tortillas, the way they are intended to be. So, putting ii in a bold way, even though the huge add that advertise the restaurant, and the cocky slogan is that they make the best cheese tortillas and chorreadas, and supposedly they are famous for them, DON"T GO if you are ONLY planing to try these two thing like I did, commuting a 40min ride to get there, because I was planning to have brunch there. TOTAL disappointment. CONS Totally ignored by the person taking the orders, as soon as I mention him it was a party of one, he totally neglect me, so I had to stand up after 9 min, walk to the kitchen window and order my food. 2.Tortilla: it taste good because they use a nice flavored cheese, but definitely is not prepare the way it should. Instead of having the cheese blend with the corn dough, they put a bunch of little squares of cheese in the dough to make the tortillas, So what you may say, the problem is that it make the tortilla all brittle, so you cannot cut a nice peace lift it and dunk it in the sour cream, it will collapse, just buy trying to lift it up from your plate. Must say (even though I have a sweet tooth), almost the worst chorreada I have tried, WHY! ok, even though it suppose to be a kind of sweet corn tortilla, it suppose to taste like corn and not to be as sweet as a cake or a cookie, something in between, where you can feel the mashed corn with the other ingredients all perfectly well, without feeling an overwhelming sweet taste that not even the sour cream was able to tune down... yep, that sweet it was.
PROS Nice view, although I think the restaurant that they are remodeling has a better view than the grand salon they use for events. Really liked the soursop juice, I purchase two, because I didn't want something else to dislike, if I didn't like the guaba juice, so, "fresco was tasty, even though, it takes that its a mixed between fresh and pulp concentrated fruit. They use paper straws! really eco-friendly. Will add pics later, cromebook not allowing to connect...
