El patio Tortuguero is not only a beautiful place but also really welcoming. What makes this place so special is definitely the beautiful brand new and clean rooms of the hostel with air conditioning, but also of course the restaurant, with home made and typical caribbean food. Very tasty ! All of this with a beautiful view on the river. You can also book all the activities directly with them, which is very convenient. A special mention to Ladina and Lolo, who make this place so warm, comfortable and friendly. A big thanks to them ! Roxane & Marine

Was recommended to come here for dinner, had asked earlier in the day if Rondón would be available but because they didn't get the fresh fish in, it wouldn't be. High respects are due because I'd rather know that they're not just making it because of demand. Came back later that night to have a bite and we were literally forgotten about for 45 minutes after putting drinks and an appetizer in. After speaking to another server, we changed our cocktails to beers and made sure our dinner was put in. When we finally got our food, it was delicious. Really good actually. Great place for a sunset beer, limited seating so get it while you can, good food, but don't always expect the best service. Probably won't go back in the future.

i highly HIGHLY recommend El Patio, both as a hostel and a restaurant. the hostel itself is very clean and up kept and the staff is very friendly. as a restaurant, they have some V exquisite plates across the board with a good variety for meat, fish, and veggie lovers. i had the chicken with rice and beans and though it sounds like a regular plate - let me tell you that the FLAVOR is a thing of its own. all this cherry’d on top with the best view on the island. thank you Dillan for guiding us on where to get what on the island, and on the menu.

Amazingly delicious food with one of the best sunset views. Highly recommend getting the carribian chicken with rice and beans. The cocktails are all extremly delicious. Especially the Pina colada. One of the best coladas I have ever experienced. The staff is very friendly. If you have the time, be there 30 minutes before the sunset to get the front seats with the best view. Also ask for the desserts, they are totally worth checking out. Enjoy.

Had a wonderful lazy lunch at El Patio. The vibe is super relaxing, the batidos (fresh fruit smoothies) really refreshing and not too sweet. We ordered Caribbean chicken and spicy shrimps. I would gladly ordered both again tomorrow! My friend also surprised me with dessert and they played “happy birthday” through the sound system when they brought it out. Thanks Dylan & crew! 💯

We loved the location of this hotel and enjoyed an extremely delicious dinner on the upper deck of the patio. Our servers were friendly and polite. There was a pleasant breeze coming off the river which felt great after the heat of the day. The fish and chicken were delicious, but we especially loved the rice and beans and fried plantains. We'll eat here again tomorrow.
