Almendra, plant based cuisine — Restaurant in Concepción

I'm completely blown away with the experience at Almendra. This is the best burger, best pizza, and best ice cream I've had in a long time. The housemade patty is unlike any I've had before, it's bursting with flavor. Much more flavor than your typical lentil/bean patty. The housemade cheese on the pizza also has a flavor that's very unique to Almendra! The brownie, chocolate ice cream, pecan parfait was incredible. You need to try it- I'm someone who was convinced I just "didn't like chocolate" until I ate this.

You get to dine amongst trees, birds, and gorgeous nature. The entire restaurant is an eco-friendly open air design with beautiful views. They even made a hole in the roof to preserve a large tree growing through the restaurant. A truly lovely experience all around. I got to see a very pretty bird fly right through. There are also two adorable little cats who lounge in the vacant chairs.

For sale to take home are great bags of coffee, chocolate bars, and vegan upcycled bags.

I recommend the Almendra Burger, Fungie Pizza, and Parfait. Even the potato wedges that come with the burger are seasoned very nicely!

My partner and I were both impressed with how creative they got with some of the dishes and equally yummy. We tried the fungi pizza, the sea food plate, the burger and the Asian stew. All so delicious! The stew was our favorite and difficult to share. This place makes us so excited to be vegan in knowing that vegan dishes everywhere are getting better and better and more creative. Also they have cute rooms available if you want to stay the night! We drove 2.5 hours to get here did not...

¡What a beautiful place in Atenas! It is a gem in the middle of a rural road. Even though you are in Atenas, the restaurant is located near a river and a constant breeze makes this place like a little piece of hidden paradise. Food is vegan but my husband ate a pull pork Uber get which he says it’s made of meat...: ) I had a falafel burger and an exquisite Lemmon pie. Super recommended to get out of the city.
