I couldn't believe how highly rated this place was and was expecting it not to live up to the expectation. But this was even better than I could have imagined. The pizza was absolutely delicious. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. And to know that it was made from scratch and all with local ingredients by a friendly and charming owner just made it even better. We also had a pizza without cheese because we are vegan and sometimes when you get a pizza without cheese it is just a disappointment. But I honestly think this pizza would have been less impressive if it had cheese. It was incredibly tasty. We also ordered the large, which is huge, so even though we ate more than half of it we still had a few huge slices left to take away. And to top it all off, there are dozens of hummingbirds in his garden and you can sit and watch them while eating tasty pizza and drinking a cold beer. Staying in this area and not eating this pizza would be a wasted opportunity, we are so glad...

We sat inside at a large wooden table and soaked in the ambiance while our pizza was prepared. Lovely thin crust pizza with a great ratio of toppings to cheese.
The pizza was served with grated parmesan and hot pepper oil. We got the medium size and ended up taking half of it home in a take out box with us (which we ate after our early morning...
Read moreI thought it was odd there were so many good reviews for a pizza place in San Gerardo of all places, so I figured I’d give it a shot. The hype is definitely real, especially if you’re a fan of thinner, more cracker like crust. I’m generally not a fan of thin crust pizza, but this was outstanding. It made even better leftovers the next day because the crust softened up. I got the Hawaiian pizza and the pineapples were diced into small cubes, which I’ve never seen done before but it worked so well because you’d get some pineapple with every bite (also helps that the pineapple in Costa Rica is amazing in general). The cheese was so good I had to ask the chef if it was a blend or something, but he told me it was all just mozzarella. Some of the best...
