The vibe and ambience is peaceful. But unfortunately that was the only positive thing we experienced. After a long 4hr drive from San Gerardo, we were very hungry for lunch. We were quickly taken care of with drink and food order all good, until... 30min later we finally received our food and it was all incorrect.
My husband ordered arroz con camarones and they brought a different rice dish, of the house, very different with extra seafood. Then I ordered patacones but just chicken, pico, and avocado all on the side. More simplistic & no sauces any kind. What the brought was a full plate of patanachos with EVERYTHING on top, multiple sauces and all.
Our waiter took our order and seemed like he 100% understood everything. We speak Spanish, so everything was ordered in Spanish. Somos Ticos. I'm not sure what happened, the restaurant wasn't busy. Overral, extremely disappointing.
We asked how much longer it would take to correct the order and once they said it'll be another 20min, we decided to just leave. That would be nearly 1 hr waiting for our food that should have taken no more than 15min. Our order was simple and should have been done properly.
On the way out, we saw our waiter eating my lunch, my incorrect lunch... without any worry. Didn't seem like anyone cared at all, honestly. Which made everything worse.
Such a shame. I never leave reviews but this just left a sour taste in...
Read moreWe were so hopeful when stopping here, judging by the looks of the place. I'm not one to write negative reviews but this one stands out as my worst restaurant experience in my entire life. Seriously!! We literally waited 2.5 hours for a childs plate to come out and 2 hours and 45 minutes for the rest of our orders. The restaurant only had 2 other small tables. When we got our food, most of it was inedible. My sons steak was rotten and we sent it back. All he had was fries. My cousins red snapper still had the guts in it so it was inedible. My salmon was completely raw. Sent it back. My daughters shrimp fried rice had good flavor but the shrimp was still grey and raw. Aztec soup was very bland but we were able to eat it. We felt so bad for the poor little server. She was so sweet and apologetic. They did take the steak and salmon off if our bill. We finally got them to remove the raw shrimp plate as well. Waiting almost 3 hours was definitely not worth it!!!! Somehow this place has 2 Google listigs. Be sure to read reviews from both listings before you...
