The drive up to Roberto’s Place is interesting. When the pavement ends you keep going. We just yelled Roberto and he came to us to direct us into his little haven. This new luncheon place is right next to Cacao Santo which provides a wonderful family run tour and discussion of cacao and more. Roberto pulled out what he had on hand today and we had rice and beans, ribs, shrimp and fries and of course plantains. This seems as authentic a CR experience as you might get. My husband and I had lunch at Roberto’s Place after hiking through the jungle and exploring the waterfalls. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious!! I cleaned my entire plate! Aside from the food, the atmosphere was amazing and relaxing (especially after that hike!). I definitely cant leave this review without mentioning how kind and attentive Roberto was. He really went above and beyond to give us incredible service. When it was time to leave, it felt a little sad. Like I was saying goodbye to a dear family member.
