I would like to recommend Victorinos Restaurant in La Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica. When we walked in we felt their warm and welcoming atmosphere, and their staff is extremely friendly and attentive. From the very beginning Alvaro made sure we were comfortable and was very patience with us as we were trying to figure out what to order. He was also very accommodating to my wife and I with young kids, making sure that the kids’ food comes first and providing an extra fork before you need to ask for one. They also clearly explain the options on the menu and are extremely patient as you take your time to look over it. The pasta dishes at Victorinos are presented beautifully and are excellent. The grilled chicken is a must-try, with a large portion size that will leave you feeling satisfied. Overall, Victorinos Restaurant is a great place to dine with family, and they really go above and beyond to make your dining experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant...
Read moreVictorino’s restaurant it is affiliated with Carnicus Carranza, a local butcher shop. 13 years ago when I opened my restaurant in El Castillo I was looking for someone to supply me with meat and I had the good fortune to meet Victorino Carranza. I was impressed and used them exclusively. It was a decision I never regretted. It was always the highest quality. The restaurant is the same thing. In fact I would say he’s just bragging. He is the best and we all know it. The quality is off the charts, every dish is perfect. The prices are very reasonable, and the decor is beautiful and the staff is wonderful! It’s without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in La Fortuna. I try to go two or three times a week and I’m never unhappy. If you like to eat meat, this is where you want to go. This is going to be a wonderful experience for you. I’ve eaten most everything on the menu and I love it all so far. I’m looking now for a group of people I can go and enjoy the...
Read moreA common theme dining out here is the United States. I recently read some recommendations about Victorinos which is an easy drive about 4 kilometers outside of downtown La Fortuna. The restaurant is owned by a 6th generation butcher and what an exceptional discovery. The waitstaff was welcoming and we received excellent service throughout the courses. We started with cocktails and appetizers, choosing tuna tartare and shrimp ceviche. The specials were explained in detail and we chose the two daily steak specials, ribeye and skirt steak. Both steaks were choice cuts and the presentation outstanding. Under each steak was bone marrow with tortillas, along with a grilled vegetable stack, potatoes, Chimichurri and a jalapeno. Everything was delicious, portions were hefty and reasonably priced. We have our favorite restaurants in La Fortuna but Victorinos has now moved to the top of the list. We can guarantee we...
