Exceptional breakfast!! El Guácimo serves a superb expression of the classic “Tortilla Aliñada”, a hand-crafted corn and cheese tortilla, served with their famous homemade sour cream. The breakfast of champions consists of savory gallo pinto, ripe sweet fried plantains, two fried eggs with a tender yolk and a side of beef tongue. Fresh brewed coffee from the mountains of Tarrazú region is served hot. Enjoy your meal with lovely views of the mountains. I highly recommend this fine...

poor choice. any other soda we ate at was much better! giving 2 stars for cleanliness of the toilets and just edible food.

in case you are looking for vegetarian food on the menu: there is none, indeed. but it’s possible to leave out the meat from a cassada (but for some reason they also left out the salad…). tortillas were cold and unsalted. don’t take tomato juice. rice, beans,...

On your way to or from Tarcoles Bridge or beyond? Stop at this terrific soda for lunch. Portions are big and delicious. The pina juice with pulp is also delicious. Service is friendly and helpful even with our limited Spanish. Great soda for lunch and located right near the bridge.

Great pit stop. Late afternoon lunch. Ordered shrimp with rice off menu. It’s shrimp fried rice with salad. Best Costa Rican fried rice I’ve had so far. Not overly salted as other places. Would stop again if Im ever on the route again. Nice forest view also.
