The food in this restaurant is great. It just bothered me that they have a plate called Baak Alquds. Alquds is Jerusalem in Arabic, and in Wikipedia the dish translates to Palestinian bread. As a Jewish person, I didn't feel welcomed here; I felt very uncomfortable. It is not because they serve Arabic food; it is because they mention the word Alquds, which is Jerusalem in Arabic. I felt like if I was going into a Palestinian restaurant. The dish can stay in the menu, but I would suggest changing the name to middle eastern bread. I would not have felt this way if they had Fattoush or other Arabic foods in the menu; it bothered me seeing Jerusalem in Arabic. I do believe in coexistence. Apparently the chef is Israeli, but he is from a neighborhood where most people are from Arabic or Palestinian descent.
I am a Four Seasons enthusiast. Four Seasons Papagayo is my favorite hotel. The service is top, the food is great, the rooms are wow. But this bothered me. I will be back, but will not visit this restaurant.
