Cafetería Rivera — Restaurant in Naranjo

After traveling all day and getting rather 'hangry' we actually spotted Rivera's sign as we drove past. My partner yelled 'STOP we are going there!' so we rolled the dice not knowing anything about the place, reversed into the parking lot and ended up extremely pleased we stopped! The staff was very friendly and accommodated our broken Spanglish starting with two amazing Moca coffees scoring 9/10 for display and taste. The view off the back deck is of coffee fields and the attendant indicated they use the local coffee so supporting local gets an extra Star! The cafe is open, very clean, great lighting and decor and overall pleasant. The food was very filling with great flavoring. Naranjo 's best kept secret, I am dining with my wife here and it was fabulous! I ordered a meatloaf sandwich on French bread with cheese and my wife had the same thing. I wish I had known that they had a plethora of excellent choices three weeks ago when I first arrived to Naranjo. If I return to this area, I will definitely want to return to the Rivera.

Update, the next day. Ha! I ordered the Rivera Hamburger with potato wedges and my wife ordered shrimp with potatoes covered with a cream sauce and bacon bits with a salad.

My Hamburger was massive and featured a shrimp on top. I ended up eating just the meat. I love the constant American music also. Ex-pats will love this...
