Family of four, including two children, arrived on an early August late afternoon, 45 minutes before sunset. No one else was at the restaurant. Needless to say the views are stunning and worth the drive up from Samara through 30 minutes of mountain dirt roads.

As other reviewers have said, the views are the attraction but the drinks and food served alongside were the best since leaving La Fortuna.

From the hammock and swinging chairs, the chirping birds, howling monkeys, delicious food and drinks with very reasonable prices along with the sun slowly plunging into the sea over the course of our meal - this is one of those experiences we will...

This place is well worth it. The road is dirt to get there, but it wasn’t that bad in our 4x4 rental Hyundai. The food was absolutely delicious. The cocktails and smoothies though were incredible. I’d go back for the drinks and the view alone. We brought along our toddler for an early lunch. There’s a little jungle hike you can take and if you reserve a guide, they’ll take you to their waterfall on their property about 16 min away. You’ll need a good 4x4 to get to it.

Would definitely go back. Probably has insane...

The scenic view at this resturant is gorgeous! The staffs and owner is super friendly. And to tip it off, the food is amazingly reasonable, given the quality of seafood they have. I ordered a camarones de rio, and the shrimp is right from the river, which is super fresh and organic. I would definitely recommend this place and it's high up in the mountains. My friend and I stopped here after our quad trip. And I am just super happy after finishing a...

We were recommended Sabor de la Montana by our Airbnb host and we were not disappointed. The service was very personable. Much of the food was grown on the farm at the restaurant, or the fish caught in the ocean nearby. Amazing. We loved our dishes recommended to us by our server. A very special and memorable experience. It is a very steep and windy road to get there, but our small all-wheel drive SUV handled it well.
