Cafetería Flory — Restaurant in Piedades Norte

I enjoyed my meal here. It was a very typical dish: casado. It was not fancy, but very hardy. My plate was practically overflowing with food, and by the time I was done, I was pretty full.

The food tasted very authentic made, and not just slopped together. I'd have given it an honest 4.5 stars, but as Google doesn't let fractionals be given, im rounding it up to a full 5.

The main dining area had walls open to the outside, and it was not uncommon for a hummingbird to zip through on its way to or from that delicious flower nectar. I also spotted two types of tanagers in my brief visit.

It's a half hour or so from the San Ramon region, so I don't know if I'd recommend going here just for the food. However, there is a cane-sugar processing facility next door (which was super amazing), so going to see that and grabbing a meal here would be a good way to spend a...

Cafeteria Flory is off the beaten path but well worth the extra time to get there. It is a destination in itself. The nice folks make you feel like a member of their family.
