Restaurante Monteverde — Restaurant in Pitahaya

So disappointed with this restaurant management

We were traveling from Guanacaste to Najanjo, this was my family's choice for lunch. Since we were traveling by car abd the family had to ride on three vehicles, the first ones got to the restaurant and asked for a table. It was almost fine until my parents arrived. They turned them away, pretty much asked them to wait outside the restaurant. My parents are golden citizens and did not deserve the treatment they got.

I won't ever recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if travelyng with alderly people.

I could only see my sister waiving her hand telling me enjoy your food.

Did I enjoy my food, not really. I got fried fish 🐟 it was a pretty small one, with some white rice salad and French fries 🍟. Portions were pretty small, I can deal with that anywhere in the world as long as the quality of the food exceeds my expectations, not in this case. My food was pretty simple I could not taste anything extraordinary.

Two stars 🌟 one for our server, she was super nice and patient the second one for the the ice cream 🍦 section of the restaurant. It was pretty good.

On top of not being anything especial, at least what I ate, it was pretty pricey. A few days later we decided to stop at Restaurant Pajaritos 2, that was a 5 well deserved stars.

I might stop to this place once more on a near future to prove myself wrong. I really hope this is the case but as for now, I regret to say my review is based on my experience, it deserves to be evaluated by...

Before I will start review , I need to say that all employers in this place look exhausted. Today is about 32 Celsius degrees. There is no air conditioning, it is very hot. It is unfair, that people here work in such terrible conditions, because there is no A/C... It is not fair for employers. I cannot understand, how company that earns a lot of money on this place (looking at the amount of clients) cannot invest small amount of money in A/C...

The pizza was outstanding. I ordered the pasta with butter on the kids menu and there was no natural drink to offer my child and they could have cared less. I ordered a Caesar salad and never receive it. My husband ordered an entree and he never received it either. The service was terrible and the food was good. The price and value dont match up. I paid $8 for a tiny bowl of pasta for my daughter. Way over priced for sitting in a hot restaurant. Milkshakes were delicious! There is a great play area outside for the kids.
