White Horse Restaurant — Restaurant in Pitahaya

We ate here. The food and service was good but after paying for our meal on our credit card for 52 dollars we left and then one minute later another charge was added to our credit card which I didn't authorize. I get alerts on my phone when my credit card is charged. The second charge was for 76 dollars. I went back to the restaurant to show them and get a refund and they disputed it even though I could show the charge on my phone. They said I would need to go to my bank and bring back a bank statement. As this restaurant is 2 hours from our home it would cost as much in gas to go back to the restaurant again. As I said the food was good but my recommendation is be careful with your credit card here. Maybe this was some random banking mistake on the part of the credit card but upon calling the credit card company they said they can't do anything and I need to go back to the restaurant to dispute it and get a refund. Please like my review if you found it helpful, just a simple thumps up. We were on our way to Puntarenas from Potrero and had stopped here for a bathroom break. At 1st glance it looked over priced and a classy restaurant, so without even looking at the menu we just continued to drive until we made it to a soda. On our way back a few days later, it was morning and we were hungry, I pulled into this place without even realizing we were back at the same place. I walked in looked at the breakfast menu and was amazed how affordable it was. The restaurant is very very clean, the food was fantastic and even the restrooms were spotless. Don’t come here. My family and I came here back in 2013 and haven’t been back since. While we were sitting having our lunch, there was a group of three ladies that came in to the restaurant and stole my sisters purse with her passport and license inside it. The restaurant has cameras and they refused to show the footage to try and identify who it was that took the purse. It wasn’t until a week later that they released the footage, way too late to do anything about it. Very sketchy vibe from the management at this place. I won’t ever come back to this place and I’ll continue to tell as many people as I can about my experience here. Never even got any kind of apology from the restaurant.
