Restaurante Las Hortensias — Restaurant in Quesada

This restaurant is the best in Costa Rica. They grow and raise the food they serve and it is delicious! The restaurant itself is beautiful and so is the outside sitting area. The gardens are beautiful. Large dinner plate size hydrangeas line the garden. Las Hortensia means the Hydrangeas in Spanish. The view at night is breathtaking. The restaurant is on a higher elevation of the city. You can see past the garden and see all the city lights below. I was impressed by the food and the service. This is a gourmet restaurant in a place you would not expect. Seriously, as a snobby American that likes find dining, this restaurant is an absolute gem. If you're tired of tipico platters, tourist restaurants, etc. and you are even within an hour of this place make it a point to visit. You will not be disappointed. The food here is amazing! The presentation is unique and classy, and the food is delicious. We had the steak with shrimp and the ribeye. Both were tasty and juicy, grilled to perfection. They had French fine wine which made the experience even more delightful. The view is spectacular!!! If you want an amazing first class experience, this is the spot.
