We got married at Baruk in December 2024. I highly recommend the staff and venue for small weddings (we had 20-25 people). We planned to get married outside, but the weather did not cooperate. Fortunately, Baruk's staff was quick with a solution and set up an indoor ceremony area for us and our guests complete with florals and romantic lighting. The food was excellent, with various elegant courses. The team also accommodated me with a separate meal as I am vegetarian. We received many compliments on the food and desserts. Gabriela helped us every step of the way, walking us through our options and showing photo examples in the planning process. We told them the color scheme, and their florist and team took care of the rest. I did not want to be overwhelmed by choosing every little detail of my wedding, and the Baruk team did a great job in terms of flowers, ceremony setup, cake, centerpieces, decor, etc. Perfect choice for "hands-off" brides or those planning internationally.
Opportunities for Improvement: The bridal getting-ready area was poorly lit (Gabriela did try to find extra bulbs for us). The bathroom was missing hand towels. The reception table wasn't set up as we had discussed with the team - they did one long table instead of 3 smaller ones. I might also suggest an additional handrail or similar in the outdoor walkway, as the wood was very slippery in the rain and we were in heels.
Personally, my biggest downside of the evening was the DJ, whose services came included with our package. He did not play any songs from the playlist we provided until I requested one, instead opting for outdated 2010s EDM music such as Party Rock Anthem and Gangnam Style - not appropriate for a wedding and not what we discussed. At least the "key songs" (procession, ceremony, and bride/groom, bride/father, groom/mother dances) were played.
Highlights: Absolutely beautiful bouquet, Baruk's attention to detail with our requests, the food, the privacy, cleanliness, catering staff, ample parking for our guests, and the charming style of Casa Baruk.
