Good clean, safe halfway stop on way from San Jose to Guanacanaste region. Very nice friendly quick service. English translation on menu. Recommend, especially for quick on/off highway stop. $22 for 2 club sodas, one Diet Coke, egg sandwich, fried plantains, chicken fried rice w/French fries, and a bag of cookies.

No recomendado! Mi pareja y yo nos decepcionamos al ver la comida en comparación al precio, precios muy altos y calidad muy baja. Desayunamos un gallo pinto sin sabor que era más arroz que frijoles, solo puedo rescatar el café. Los ventiladores no sirven, hace mucho bochorno. Hay wi-fi en el lugar.

Good clean, safe halfway stop on way from San Jose to Guanacanaste region. Very nice friendly quick service. English translation on menu. Recommend, especially for quick on/off highway stop. $22 for 2 club sodas, one Diet Coke, egg sandwich, fried plantains, chicken fried rice w/French fries, and a bag of cookies.

No recomendado! Mi pareja y yo nos decepcionamos al ver la comida en comparación al precio, precios muy altos y calidad muy baja. Desayunamos un gallo pinto sin sabor que era más arroz que frijoles, solo puedo rescatar el café. Los ventiladores no sirven, hace mucho bochorno. Hay wi-fi en el lugar.

This was the first and only restautant that was available between Puntarenas and Canas. It was owned by Hannia who cooked for the for the workers who built the highway back in the 60's. Then the the workers finished, left, and she kept serving her homemade meals to the few cars and truck drivers at that time. Now there are very many places to stop and eat. Hannia has passed away... but her restaurant is still there just like...

The restaurant was conveinetly located of the highway. We were promptly attended to and was given time to place our order. Our food arrived quick and was freshly made and very tasty. They had number of washrooms some of which were...
