This was the best coffee we had during our 3-week trip in Costa Rica! We did the coffee tasting - it was fantastic. We also visited other well-known roasters, including the famous Dota, but none of them could compare to Café Haug. Their coffee was far superior in aroma, depth, and overall taste. We ended up buying over 3 kg to take home - we would have bought more if it weren’t for the airline baggage weight limit! The staff were absolutely lovely: kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. We truly loved the time we spent there and highly recommend the experience to any...

The most authentic and delicious coffee farm, processing house, and cafe in the entire Los Santos region. This is 100% family run and everything is so real here, from the drying racks outside to the pastry cabinet sitting on top of their great grandmother’s cast iron oven. The owners care so much about the coffee and about the local farmers. The smoked trout sandwich and the unique coffees they grow and sell will touch your soul. Absolutely...
