Konoba Galijun — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

During our stay in dubrovnik we wanted to stay at this B&B. Unfortunately I booked for the same day instead of the next day. When realised I immediately called the property and told them about this error. They responded that I needed to call the website the booking was made on. The website said they could not do anything and would contact the property. The property then told the website that they were fully booked for the day after and they will not cancel the booking for free. I told them I understand that the day after is full and that they would not give me my money back so I proposed to stay on an other available day. Again the property would not agree and told me that they're "sorry" and can't do anything. She also said that no one is going to book the room anymore for the day so they would lose money. So if I had not booked it how are you so sure that someone else would book it? Also if you would reserve a room for another day you would not "lose" money. We met lovely owners of amazing apartments during our stay in croatia and this is not one of them. I do not recommend...

We had 2 rooms booked for 1 night prior to our flight home. We arrived early but the owner was very welcoming and we were able to get a drink even though breakfast had finished and the restaurant was closed. The rooms were family rooms- very clean and modern with plenty of space. The bathrooms were particularly good quality. As there is little to do in the immediate vicinity, we took the bus to Dubrovnik, which took approximately 40 minutes. It was a pleasure to return to BoGo later in the day for pre-dinner drinks by the river. The owners were very helpful in getting the football on the TV for our 2 sons! Dinner in the restaurant was superb with excellent service. The location by the river was perfect and the food delicious. As we had an early flight the next morning, breakfast was prepared earlier than usual for us and was again delicious. Decided to visit here on the last night of our holiday as a special last night. Six of us ordered and 5 of the 6 meals were very sub standard. The fries and meat on the 5 meals was not even warm, the fries were over cooked and completely dried out and not even warm. The steak and all other meat were virtually cold. We were offered a 20% discount, but were told the meals could not be re cooked. A bowl of fries was brought out to try and makes things right. They were also very over cooked, dry and not even warm. The one meal that was edible was tuna with potatoes and tomatoes. This was quite warm, but also not hot. All of the plates were cold. The chef would not come out to speak to us and just tried to blame the waiters. None of us are complainers, but we actually had far superior meals from the local pizza place that were a quarter of the price. We returned there after the rubbish non meal and were incredibly satisfied! Avoid and save...
