Restoran MaMaLu — Restaurant in Grad Cres

We stayed at MaMaLu for our short vacation in Valun, a lovely town on Cres. Our room with the terrace was super clean and I loved the double bed, which really was double, unlike double beds in many hotels. The furniture was nice and everything looked really well-preserved or new. There was an air freshener in the bathroom that automatically sprayed fragnance every now and then, which was a bit disturbing during the night as the odour was quite strong (but not unpleasant) but closing the bathroom door made it okay. The view from the room was beautiful and breakfast was also very, very good. The staff was extremely kind and service superb, but nothing can beat the food at the restaurant. I have never eaten sea food as good as MaMaLu's! You should ask the waiter for recommendations and you will surely be thrilled! We were also quite pleased...

Spent an amazing two weeks at MaMaLu last summer!||The rooms are simple and clean with a great view. I would recommend anybody looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay to check out this gem. The family/staff were also just great and helped out when my girlfriend got sick. But the best thing about MaMaLu still has to be the food at the restaurant! During our two-week stay on the island, when eating out, we usually chose fish and everything we got there was delicious but MaMaLu was outstanding. Fresh fish from the charcoal just makes the difference. Also highly recommended: the homemade salted anchovis, a reason to go back there! Excellent "old school" service and the only place where we got fish knives and forks.
