España Restaurant — Restaurant in Grad Omiš

I visited this restaurant on August 26th and everything was absolutely perfect – the steak was outstanding, honestly one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. I was impressed, the owner was great, and the staff was smiling and welcoming.

Unfortunately, on August 28th the experience was very different. We ordered main courses, the food was good, but my partner couldn’t finish her bolognese – not because it was bad, but because she suddenly felt unwell. From that moment, our waiter stopped paying attention to us. It is simply not normal to wait 2.5 hours during which we only managed to have one drink and one meal.

This is a pity. I own a company in the Czech Republic that organizes weddings abroad, mostly for demanding clients, and I wanted to recommend this place – especially since it was suggested to me by a friend from Germany. Stanići is a beautiful place, but if I ever organize something here, it will more likely be in Omiš rather than Stanići.

The owner is friendly, kind, and certainly a great entrepreneur with a heart. The kitchen is excellent. But the waiter who served us was a huge disappointment. Sadly, because of this I can only give 2 stars. For the second time in my life, I didn’t leave a tip – I am used to being looked after...

I’ll start with, THIS IS A FANTASTIC PLACE TO EAT! I was in Stanici for about 7 days and ate at Espana like 4 times (twice inside and twice for takeout), below are pictures of our first dinner there.

The place looks very new, everything on the inside is very good looking, if you have a seat at the window, you can watch the Adriatic Sea. It can get hot inside, but they have big ventilators to cool the place.

Food is amazing, I tried all sections and was always more then satisfied. Prices are ok for this kind of restaurant and service.

What I liked most, is the personal. Very kind, fun and communicative. On the first night, the waiter gave us a free round of drinks and we did not have a huge check so it was expectable, they are just very nice people there. Great hospitality.

I can recommend to everyone to eat there, you will definitely be happy with the food, the service and the whole inside of the restaurant.

There are few parking spots in front of the restaurant, therefore reachable by car.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Nine of us were dining there for 11 days and each day the food was delicious. We tried all the meat which was always very tasty and not greasy. Prawns risotto is very good. Make sure that you order steak as it is pure pleasure to eat. All meat is from grill as well as sea food. Grill calamari was excellent. When ordering ask for extra portion of chips as I guarantee that you will eat it all. Not fat and not greasy at all. The best chips I ever tried and we are living in UK so chips are a big part of our cuisine. THE TRUTH is that WHATEVER YOU ORDER YOU WILL LOVE IT. Make sure that you order house wine with your meal as it is delicious. Matko who is the owner is an amazing host and he will look after you.
