Best part of our trip to Vis. What a true gem. First and foremost, they graciously accepts credit cards which is about 1 in 50 on this island. Pretty easy to make a reservation. We drove ourselves there but they actually provide shuttles if you’re staying in vis town 👏. Experience: The younger lady that greeted us was so warm and welcoming, a breath of fresh air from what we had grown used to during our 4 weeks in Croatia. Welcome drinks. Discussed options and what she enjoyed the best there then set us up to tour the wine cellar which we bought a bottle of Bugava to go. (I will say it wasn’t the same quality as the glasses we had during dinner though but that’s okay we still enjoyed it and it’s only $12 so maybe they have a more expensive bottle that’s the same?) Server: She was prompt, friendly and just attentive enough. Perfect. Food: Sadly they were out of the fish pie so we didn’t get to try that but the bread was fresh baked and quality. The Lamb Peka was our first so nothing to compare to but it was good. Wish we went with the seafood - only reason we didn’t was because we didn’t want octopus but it sounds like they don’t do it with the seafood one so I would get the seafood with rice peka for sure if doing it over again. Also a really big portion for the two of us, we felt like it was a really great value. Atmosphere: Rural vineyard elegant feel, garden seating was our preference and it was perfect. You can also sit under a pergola style with vines growing over it allowing for small or large groups, or in a more covered area so you have plenty of options there. Highly recommend, by far best part of our 6 day Vis stay 🥂

Excellent experience and fantastic food. You really need to book a day or two in advance to order the fish, octopus or meat 'Peka'. The staff speak english so very easy to arrange on the phone. The Peka is a slow cooked authentic croatian dish cooked in metal pots on coals for hours with rice, potatoes and vegetables. Roki's is in a fairly remote part of the island (15 mins away from Vis up on a hill) so they can pick you up in your town and drop you off after for free / a nominal charge. We were greeted by our waiter who showed us how they cooked our dish. We got a complimentary shot of local carob liqueur and were shown to our seat. The surroundings are lovely so if possible let try and be there for sunset. We had a starter for one to share between 2 of us of delicious local cured meats and cheese. It was divine. Then the main event. A kilo of Monkfish with rice, veggies etc in a lovely stock. The pekas are for 2 people to share ( they don't do single ones) and you will not go hungry. We just managed to finish ours! We also had their wine (produced on site) which was fantastic! It is pricey if you're on a budget (we paid £70 for 2 of us but had small starter, huge mains and a bottle and a half if wine between us) BUT it's a great experience and we'll worth doing. The food was great and the setting / experience / staff / everything was wonderful. When we were done they dropped us back into town. A great night out so would highly recommend.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, this restaurant offers stunning views with tables set out on a charming terrace beneath lush grapevines. The atmosphere is perfect for a serene, outdoor dining experience, though somewhat dampened by the presence of a large screen TV, which detracts from the natural beauty of the surroundings. We ordered the Lamb Peka, a flavorful and succulent dish served with roasted potatoes. While the taste was impeccable, we found the portion size disappointingly small, especially for the price and considering it was shared by two big eaters. The service, however, was superb—attentive and friendly—and the wine selection complemented the meal nicely. To finish, we indulged in the coconut and chocolate desserts, both of which were delightful and a sweet ending to the evening. Overall, while the food and service were excellent, the small portions and the TV slightly detracted from an otherwise lovely dining experience.

We came here with 35 guests for our pre-wedding dinner. Our guests enjoyed the experience and the peka, but we were very disappointed. They especially raved about the monkfish and octopus peka. We thought it was overall poor value for money and the vegetarian peka was completely tasteless, just plain overly boiled potatoes and carrots with a few other vegetables, so we left hungry. At 60EUR per person, we expected something more. The artichoke and bean soup was well flavoured but the artichoke was overripe and difficult to eat. Despite us being the ones paying for everything, we were served last and missed trying some of the wines. The servers told us they were not serving more wine to some of our guests as they were getting too rowdy, but the guests they pointed to were sober. We were also told we'd be the only guests in the smaller courtyard, but other parties were seated there too. It's a beautiful location, despite the lack of views, and we very much enjoyed playing cricket on a real pitch, but I wouldn't go out of your way to come here. We came here expecting to leave with many cases of wine, but didn't like any of them enough to take home. I suspect this is a great night out and great food if you enjoy seafood, but avoid at all costs if you...
