Gastro is Zadar's best kept secret from tourists.My boyfriend & I are from the UK & asked our Air b'n'b host for somewhere we could get the best local cuisine and he suggested Gastro & I must say we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the star dish has to be the veal roast, the meat is succulent and it melts in your mouth. Our waiter Christian, was fantastic he gave us some advice, guidance & recommendations on what to chose. The meal is significantly cheaper than most restaurants in Old town, we paid £15 for two meals and drinks and the customary fresh bread as an appetiser.This place is so good, we had to go back before leaving Zadar.

Its your usual get served fast kind of restaurant, but not with fast food, but nice home cooked meals. They range from goulash to baked lamb, soups and other mouth watering deliciousness.
