Upon our arrival at the ever so tiny Port of Jagua (by means of a boat just short of a century old), the sign of “El Pescador” immediately struck our fancy. It did appear to be quite abandoned, and for that reason, we were forced to explore the area a bit more. Whilst strolling through the picturesque, yet dilapidated alleyways, we met the loveliest of ladies. After a chat (which ran its course rather briefly due to our poor “Español”) the lady asked us to follow us to her family owned restaurant “El Pescador”. We were surprised by her varied selection of recently caught seafood and opted for the lobster. It came out cooked to perfection and was served with a broad variety of appetizers (a most unusual occurrence in “todo de Cuba”).
