Forsos Tavern — Restaurant in Κοινότητα Μουτταγιάκας

Well if someone read this then listen from someone who is usually picky and for many places left 1 star review... So food is really excellent i ordered meze and every dish was wov i have been to probably 15 tavernas in Cyprus and at best half of dishes have vow effect this was really natural delicious not salty not with some artificial taste enchancers or some crazy spices, just traditional food well made melting in mouth. I love cook myself and i can make good food but eating there i was thinking well that would be difficult for me to make like that.... Interior is very nice. We were thinking like why so many people Monday evening is there some holiday??? Now i understand don't need holiday local people know this place and come there because 99%other places don't come even close... When you choose place to eat ask yourself is it in popular crowded place is view super crazy if yes you have good chance for low quality this is not in some super tourist places there isnt some crazy panoramic views but people appreciate nice interior and very nice food.

The gastronomic reality on the island is such that, in order to have a satisfying meal at reasonable cost, you are really limited to taverna food. Even then, the experience is diminished by the fact that all tavernas offer exactly the same food. That being the case, it is important to, at the very least, find tavernas where the cooking is executed expertly and with dedication. Forsos is certainly one of the best venues where to sample taverna food on the island. Hands down the best Meze I have had on the island. And compliment is not that it’s the best. It’s more. In a unique way for Meze and traditional cuisine, the attention to quality of ingredients and flavours is phenomenal. I went to meet the chef and the elderly lady deffo knows her stuff. For me, I’m impressed. I will be back again and again and again. It’s absolutely delicious. Pork Souvla is wow! Soft, yummy, not too greesy, perfectly grilled. Bravo to the chef! Bravo to the cuisine ! Service is a bit hectic, but way above average for a taverna. Also a nice bonus - it’s not horribly loud inside...
