Al Borgo — Restaurant in Κοινότητα Πύργου Λεμεσού

What title says stays true due to the fact it is the only restaurant in which they make those pizzas according to the actual recipes, using fine ingredients. On top of that, one can actually watch the process of making a pizza because the restaurant has an open kitchen. I've checked quite a few so called "Italian" restaurants, but Al Borgo is the only place I would recommend for pizza. Personally, I had a very pleasant overall experience in this restaurant. Granted the fact it's not exactly în Limassol, but 10 minutes away of driving, it's totally worth the visit. Be advised, coffee drinkers, they only had (when I visited) dark roast Lavazza. We came for dinner on Valentine's Day because of the great reviews. The food was 6/10 for someone who ever tasted real Italian cuisine. We took lasagne 5/10, there was almost no meat inside and tastes just like tomato sauce, Pizzas were okay 5,5/10 - very dry, hard to eat crust, hard to swallow without water, there was a big amount of ingredients on the pizzas. They do not have any wine/beer and if you want you can bring your own but you have to pay 5€\1€ for the fact that you are consuming it in the restaurant.. the score saver was a very delicious tiramisu which we got to take away - I could come back only for it. Service was good. The interior is definitely outdated and it's not a good place for a date...

Real pizza as it's supposed to be!

With no exaggeration this place has to be by far the greatest pizzeria on the island.

The Chef/Owner never stops making pizza (Grand Master/Legend)

Thin crispy crust (Italian way) each pizza has its dough hand tossed just before the fresh ingredients are added and then it's in the oven.

The results are stunning. We started things off with a fantastic bruschetta with parmesan cheese and baked chili prawns(heaven) We then had the unusual salmone Di Ricardo (salmon pizza) and the irresistible Delizia.

Desert was a mouthwatering Tiramisu.

This place is incredible and we can't wait...
