This is THE BEST excursion to do in Cyprus, hands down!! Absolutely amazing experience, 10/10. The thirty minute donkey ride through the valley is beautiful, relaxing, and felt safe for myself, my husband + a 5 and 6 year old (they LOVED it). The monastery you arrive at is gorgeous and beautiful to take photos and walk around. Dinner was incredible, and dancing is a party. So, so fun! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We are American and only speak English, and they had an interpreter there for us the entire time. Two cons: we had a rental car and the driving is rough to get there. Prepare yourself or use their bus system. Second, it was so hard to find how to book an excursion with them! The "send and email" option on their website doesn't work/they don't respond. Instead, call this Cyprus number: 99 667388 The man who answers is kind and very helpful! Do yourself a favor, and book this! You...
Read moreWhat a great trip this was in 2021. We had mistakenly been added to an excursion of other Europeans who only spoke a completely different language that we did not understand, however the staff at the sanctuary treated us like royalty. The donkeys appear to be well looked after and handle the rides without any issues. The monastery is an interesting visit. You either go there or return on a donkey and take the old Bedford bus for the other journey. Party time is engaging. The food is endless and so was the local spirit as I recall. It gets nicer the more you have. There’s plenty of dancing and entertainment too. This is a trip we would do again. Great fun and I wish we had bought more bottles of their Commandaria. This is one trip...
Read moreA large company function was held here and I must say they put on a great effort for us. On arrival you get to sample their locally produced olive products (also available for purchase and all-natural) and we were allowed to pick and eat oranges from a nearby orchard. Donkey-rides and various team-building exercises were programmed to keep everyone entertained and an absolutely mouth-watering grilled lunch was capped off with some live Greek dancing and shows. It takes a while to get the farm which is done in ancient creaking buses that slowly haul themselves down (and eventually back up) the tricky winding mountain passes. An absolutely cracking day out with much laughter and comraderie amongst the group...
