Polydendri tavern — Restaurant in Pelendri

If you are in Troodos area and fency a good meze I recommend Polydendri Tavern. We called before our visit to be sure if it was open. They had only meze with a reasonable 22 euros/person price. From outside the building did not look like a tavern but as we walked down the stairs and entered the dining area we found ourselves in a cosy little tavern with not too many tables. The atmosphere was nice. The music was not loud. It was easy to hear each other. The food was plenty and tasty. The service was great. If you are in a 30 minutes radius it is worth your time to have a good meal here.

What an awesome location to spend your lunch hour and what an amazing and friendly staff. We went there on a Sunday (reservation is a must) and had a fixed-meze menu. Some twists here and there bringing their own signature in the traditional Cypriot cuisine. Located in the heart of the village, easy to find via google maps, and an amazing food experience. Also a plus an amazing road trip with amazing sceneries. Will revisit for sure with the first chance. Ps prices...

While quantity of food was beyond anything we've seen in Cyprus, unfortunately, it was not as delicious and hearty as in numerous other taverns we've visited. Mostly overcooked meat, very bad cuts... house wine was very bad.

The atmosphere was great, we happened to visit on weekend, so there was a band and many joyful families enjoying their day off. It was a decent enough pit-stop for us on the way to Trodos, but we wouldn't consider...
