Restaurant Seeberg — Restaurant in Cheb District

As an English person living in Czech Republic for 5 years this is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. When we arrived we were asked what language we want the menu in, we said Czech or English, the male waiter then loudly said we don't have English as if this was some sort of problem, everybody even looked to see what was going on was. When we sat at the table it was obviously covered in pizza crumbs but he didn't bother to wipe it down. He then asks us in German what we want to drink, I said again we don't speak German and ordered in Czech. We were then completely ignored when it was clear we had finished. I had to call another waiter to ask for the bill. 10 minutes and still waiting. We decided to go and pay at the bar instead. I tell the same old male waiter we want to pay, in Czech (no apology or ask if everything was ok). He answers again in german for some reason. I said I don't speak German, i asked if he was German or Czech trying to understand the situation, he said rudely he is Czech but speaks "great" german. I said i want to pay by card, he then complains and gets a card machine out the draw, then asks in german if want to pay in euros or crowns. He then demands a tip twice, loudly as if to draw attention from other customers! I said no, he said something disgusting under his breath, I said excuse me, he just looked at me disgusted. I politely said goodbuy and he informally said čau. Shockingly bad service. I always tip very well in Czech, I have never had this happen, and do my best to learn the language, seems this person just wants to suck up to the German customers with his German language like some sort of rat. Pizza was greasy but pasta was good, but won't ever go back again due to...

Dnešní návštěva byla zklamáním. Po dlouhé době jsme šli na jistotu ale špagety Carbonara byli jak špagety s míchanými vejci a česká slanina tohle určitě není italský recept a druhé jídlo byla krkovička z grilu a dostala jsem polo syrové brambory když jsem jidlo vrátila ani jsem se ho nedotkla jen jsem rozkrojila bramboru tak mi bylo drze sděleno z kuchyně že pokud je maso v pořádku tak si to zaplatím copak cele jídlo děla maso ? Obsluha vstřícná slečna Veronika se situaci snažila zachránit ale asi zřejmě paní kuchařka vládne cele restauraci ani nám to kdyz už sama nepřišla říct ke stolu když je tam pevná ruka a kuchař by si měl vždy obhájit svoje jídlo ale druha paní servírka mluvila s přízvukem a arogantní tak jsme dostali náhradu za syrové brambory hranolky zabalili nám to s sebou plus nám byl naúčtovat poplatek za obal 🙂a pak jsme raději odešli už jsme se necítili vítáni. Moc nás tahle zkušenost mrzí vše jsme zaplatili nechtěli jsme dělat problémy jen se skvěle najíst...

If you are passing by, I recommend all the food. I ate a pizza as I was told they made the best ones out of a wood oven. And I agree! However, the other specialities where looking absolutely inviting. Next time I am nearby, I am definitely stopping by again to try more. And their homemade lemonades were...
