We showed up at Restaurace Praha with a confirmed reservation, only to be told it was worthless because the website we used was “outdated.” That was the entire explanation, delivered with rudeness and not even the slightest attempt at an apology. The person at the door could not have been less welcoming if they tried.

What made it worse was the fact that the place was completely empty. They did not bother to ask how long we planned to stay or whether seating us would cause any actual issue. Instead, we were brushed off as if our business was an inconvenience.

If this is how the restaurant treats guests who arrive with good faith and confirmed bookings, then they do not deserve anyone’s time or money. There are plenty of restaurants in the city that understand hospitality. This one clearly does not. Wir sind mit einer bestätigten Reservierung im Restaurace Praha erschienen, nur um zu hören, dass diese wertlos sei, da die Website angeblich „veraltet“ ist. Das war die gesamte Erklärung, vorgetragen in einem unfreundlichen Ton und ohne auch nur den Anschein einer Entschuldigung. Unhöflicher hätte man uns kaum empfangen können.

Noch absurder war, dass das Restaurant völlig leer war. Niemand fragte, wie lange wir bleiben wollten oder ob es überhaupt ein Problem wäre, uns zu platzieren. Stattdessen wurden wir einfach abgewiesen, als wäre unser Besuch eine Zumutung.

Wenn dies die Art ist, wie dieses Restaurant Gäste mit gültigen Reservierungen behandelt, dann verdient es weder Zeit noch Geld. Es gibt genug Lokale in der Stadt, die Gastfreundschaft verstehen. Dieses hier offensichtlich nicht. Do Restaurace Praha jsme přišli s potvrzenou rezervací, jen abychom se dozvěděli, že je bezcenná, protože prý byla provedena přes „zastaralý“ web. To bylo celé vysvětlení, podané arogantně a bez náznaku omluvy. Nepřívětivější přístup si člověk snad ani neumí představit.

O to horší bylo, že restaurace byla úplně prázdná. Nikdo se ani nezeptal, jak dlouho se chceme zdržet nebo jestli by naše usazení skutečně způsobilo problém. Místo toho nás prostě odbyli, jako bychom je obtěžovali.

Pokud takto podnik jedná s hosty, kteří přicházejí s platnou rezervací, nezaslouží si ani čas ani peníze. Ve městě je dost restaurací, které vědí, co znamená pohostinnost. Tato mezi ně...

Scum for tourists. They bullied us. The case was that we ordered we ate and only then they informed us that we have to pay by cash. We withdraw some amount from their atm getting charged 200 corons. Obviously we said ok we will pay 50 less because it is unfair the whole case and they bullied us with two big guys from the kitchen. They ar lucky that we just didn’t leave without paying.
